Throughout my online presence, I use certain terms repetitively. And while my personal vocabulary is not complete (always a work in progress), some words and phrases already enjoy consistent employment. Among these is the Parasites.

In this article, I will explain what I mean when I mention the Parasites so that I can have a place to refer people to when they want an explanation.

The Definition

First of all, let us start with the actual, non-metaphoric definition of the word. Merriam-Webster gives some interesting options.

  • an organism living in, with, or on another organism in parasitism
  • something that resembles a biological parasite in dependence on something else for existence or support without making a useful or adequate return
  • a person who exploits the hospitality of the rich and earns welcome by flattery

Although my Parasites are humans, the third definition does not fit very well as I will lay out soon. The first and second ones are closer to home. By going to the root and looking up the meaning of parasitism, we can see that it is "an intimate association between organisms of two or more kinds, especially one in which a parasite obtains benefits from a host which it usually injures". Herein lies the main concept: one species takes advantage of another without contributing anything in return and, in many cases, causing damage to the host.

Human Parasites

With this definition in mind, we can proceed to apply the same qualities to human parasites. Namely:

  • they take advantage of other humans or groups of humans
  • they take but do not give back
  • humans affected by parasites become damaged over time

In what way, then, does a parasite take advantage of others? A leech sucks a host's blood which is its life force. Similarly, human parasites suck the life force of people by exploiting them economically and psychologically. Among humans, it is no different from a master-and-slave relationship, albeit not explicitly described as so. A slave brings more income if he thinks he is a free man.

In Episode 2 of Citadelium, I explained the difference between two types of people: those who infringe on private property of others and those who do not. It is safe to generalize that the Parasites belong to the former class of people—they want the products of your labor. No matter how much or how little you produce, they make it their primary goal to extract the most they can from you.

Many of you will rightfully assume that I am talking about politicians. And while the political class is the most parasitic, perpetrators can be found in many other domains of life. Business people, bankers, Wall Street traders, government employees, academics, policemen and even your local doctor can all be accused of this trait to various degrees. As you can see, "all politicians are bad, all businessmen are good" is not my type of thinking even though I am a capitalist through and through.

We can also divide the Parasites in two groups:

  • the unconscious ones
  • the conscious ones

The first group is by far the largest. The unconscious Parasite does not know he is a Parasite. He lives his leech life thinking that he does the right thing. Most of the time, he is indoctrinated into his way of thinking by parents, school, peers, government authority. When confronted about his parasitism, he will be genuinely baffled. How can you attack the world that he has been living in for so long and taking for granted? While unknowingly destructive and overall detrimental to the lives of non-Parasites, these individuals are not as dangerous as the other group.

The conscious Parasites are a whole different story. They know exactly what they do and how it affects others. Yet, they do not stop and often aspire to grow their parasitic abilities to new heights. Often guided by animalistic principles which dictate to the body that "it is never enough", they seek more money, power, domination. There is no Spirit in their actions—it is pure Matter. Needless to say, these are the most most dangerous people you can come across. Often hiding behind the mask of a politician or a well-meaning philanthropist, they set out to usurp the broader population.

The Hierarchy

Are the Parasites a structured entity? Both yes and no. Below, I made a graph that represents the parasitic structure the way I currently understand it. I may be a bit or completely off, so treat it with a grain of salt.

Let me describe the layers of this hierarchy bottom up.

  • The first level. These people are vast in numbers and are part of the so-called "masses". In this group, you find your regular blue collars, white collars, students, the unemployed and unemployable. Coming from the dull majority, they are easily impressionable and have been converted to the cause planned out by higher levels. This group plays a very important role—that of a mob. The Parasites in this class do all the dirty work: protesting, rioting, petitioning, lynching. More often than not, upon the completion of their objective, they are also disposed of by those above them. It is safe to call such people useful idiots.
  • The second level. The mob must always be influenced to do what is required. The best way to convince a mob to act (even against their own interest) is through indoctrination and propaganda. This is where the second level comes in. It is represented by mainstream media, controlled-opposition outlets, social networks, marketing agencies, the public education system, academia and so on. They receive directions from higher levels and then use their professional skills to create narratives that the indolent masses will consume, digest, internalize. This is the real Ministry of Parasitic Propaganda.
  • The third level. Everybody's favorite scapegoats—politicians. Deservedly so, the whole life of a career politician revolves around parasitism. These inferior people are the epitome of Evil. Today's political landscape is designed in such a way that only the most wretched, soulless, immoral and psychopathic get to the top. As with everything, this is a generalization, and there are exceptions to this rule. The political class is highly influenced by upper levels because the latter provide them with monetary gains and the satisfaction of any perversions they may have in exchange for furthering the agenda. Politicians are slaves who sell their souls for material pleasures of life. They swear fealty to their masters.
  • The fourth level. Big business deserves its own level. Being a capitalist, I do not find it controversial to be against certain types of businesses because they are not born out of pure competition but rather out of a tight relationship with the political class (crony capitalism). National and multinational mega-corporations fall under this category. These businesses provide facilities and technologies that further the parasitic agenda as well as act as donors to the politicians whom they want to see in office. Funding the political class and being supported by the higher levels, they play a massive role in shaping the world around us. I will go as far as claim that some billionaires are allowed to stay extremely rich only as long as they adhere to the edicts of their true masters.
  • The fifth level. Most wealth of the world is concentrated in this level. Bankers do not only hold everybody's money, they also create it. Needless to say, central banking and its counterpart, fiat money, is the most successful feat that the Parasites have achieved to date. Commercial banks control politicians and big business, central banks control nations, international monetary organizations control the world. This is not a difficult proposition to agree with—even the most staunch statist will agree the financial system is a complete train-wreck of misaligned incentives.
  • The sixth level. As the illustration shows, this level is not only the highest, but the top of the pyramid is also detached from its body. What it means is that, while the lower five levels are closely related, interconnected and dependent on each other, the Master Parasites are a segregated bunch. They are the masterminds behind the agenda of world domination, as loud as it may sound. Like the all-seeing eye, they observe what happens in the world and, based on results, correct the course of their actions. The top have a clear long-term objective but they cannot control the outcomes of actions of all the lower classes. That is why they do not take sides when it comes to local or international affairs. To be precise, they actually support all sides. Because if you bet on both counterparties in a conflict, you cannot lose. Somebody's win is their win; someone else's loss is their win, too.

You may correctly notice that my description is similar to popular conspiracy theories. With that, I grant you permission to call me a conspiracy theorist because this term, invented by the CIA, has absolutely no meaning to me—feel free to castigate. The information presented above is based purely on my current state of knowledge, observation and intuition and may prove partly or completely wrong as life goes on. What I am not afraid of is to appear foolish. For what use do I have of the opinion of the mass man? Granted, some of the smartest people I know will not accept this theory either because they need irrefutable proof for any claim made (some of them believe in God!). But there is no way everybody can agree on everything.

The Truth is Out There

Who are the Master Parasites? How are they connected? Where do they live? Are they of the same family, race, religion? I cannot give you a conclusive answer to these questions. What I think is that there may be only a few hundred of them and, if we were to profile them, there would surely arise certain patterns that could be used to group these individuals. But as they are in the shadows, this task is not easy. One day, they may be revealed (in a positive turn of events) or reveal themselves (if they think they have won the final battle), and we will know for certain. Until then, we can only research and guess. The truth is out there.

This overview is descriptive and I will not prescribe any action at this point. It is unwise to act when one has limited information. The only thing we can do is to dig deeper and pursue the truth.
